The Khoja Shia Ithnaa-Asheri Jamaat of Huntington Beach, California, was awarded a $5,000 grant today by the Alavi Foundation. The contribution was made to support the operational expenses associated with programs for the Holy months of Ramadan and Muharram.
The California based Jamaat is just one of more than 30 community-based organizations which receive support from the Alavi Foundation.
