The Alavi Foundation has donated $240,000 to the Islamic Institute of New York. The contribution was intended exclusively for a previously approved budget plan submitted by IINY to the Foundation, for 2011.
The donation came as part of the Foundation’s support for Islamic Organizations one of the Alavi Foundation’s 9 core programs.
