McGill University receives $30,000 from Alavi Foundation

McGill University has acknowledged receipt of $30,000 from the Alavi Foundation. In a letter to the Foundation, the University expressed their gratitude: “Your interest and support of the mission of McGill University – teaching, research and service to the community – are sincerely appreciated. Thank You.”
The Alavi Foundation has been giving grants to colleges and universities since 1984. These grants were made in support of Shia studies, Iranian studies and the teaching of Persian language. In the past twenty-five years, Alavi Foundation has distributed over several millions of dollars in the form of grants to over thirty colleges and universities in North America.

Support for Colleges and Universities is one of the Foundation’s nine core programs.
