The Alavi Foundation awarded the Islamic Education Center, located in Potomac, Maryland, $8,000 toward their Persian school expenses for the 2011 to 2012 academic year.
Donations to Persian Schools comprise one of the nine core programs currently conducted by the Alavi Foundation.
